Cathode ray oscilloscope (Cathode Ray Oscilloscope, CRO called) is a laboratory instrument used for measuring and analyzing waveforms other symptoms in electronic circuits. Basically the oscilloscope is a graph or an image-maker (plotter) XY very quickly which demonstrates an input signal to another signal or with respect to time. In the use of CRO, a horizontal axis X is the input voltage grade ability in the form of internally generated linear, or time base is periodically moving specks of light from left to right through the screen surface tension to be examined is inserted into the Y axis or vertical input CRO, moving the spot to top and bottom in accordance with the instantaneous value of input voltage. Furthermore, these spots produce a trace file image on the screen that shows the input voltage variations as a function of time. When the input voltage repeated at a rate fast enough, the image will appear as a stationary pattern on the screen. Thus CRO complete an observation of how time-varying voltage.
Besides voltage, the CRO can present visual images of various dynamic phenomena through the use of  transducer that converts the flow, pressure, strain temperature, acceleration, and many other physical quantities into voltage.
CRO is used to investigate waveforms, transient events and other quantities which change with time and frequency are very low to very high frequencies. Recording of these events can be done by a special camera attached to the CRO for quantitative interpretation
